There are a lot of potential podcasts hosts online, and there isn't necessarily a best one. This Lifehacker article runs through ways to get started podcasting in 2015, and includes a set of decent hosts.

SoundCloud, PodOMatic, and PodBean, seem promising for podcast management (but there are many options).

To simply post audio online, you might set up an Archive.org account.

IMAGE CAPTURE AND CREATION

The Adobe CS suite is the industry standard for design, and if you're goibg to get serious about design, you should set yourself up to learn it. But ordinary folks just trying to play with design and make some nice stuff have some less high-pressure places where we can start.

** Stuff Already on Your Computer **
MS Word and OSX Pages can accomplish a lot.
MS PowerPoint and OSX Keynote can also combine image and text handily.
MS Publisher (on Windows machines) is made for page making. 

** Some Promising Online Design Environments **

** Don't Forget the Lower-Tech Options **
Scissors, tape, glue, and printers, combined with a digital camera, can lead to some fantastic design choices.
